Tapetfabriken is located in the area of Sickla, close to nature, with about 5 min walk to the closest body of water and 15 min to the archipelago. 

You will find supermarkets, restaurants and shops in the nearby area. It takes about 10-15 minutes to go to Slussen (downtown Stockholm) by bus, taxi or Uber. 

Places to visit

Djurgården (Swedish for ‘The [Royal] Game Park’), is an island in central Stockholm. Djurgården is home to historical buildings and monuments, museums, galleries, the amusement park Gröna Lund, the open-air museum Skansen, and extensive stretches of forest and meadows.

It is one of the Stockholmers’ favorite recreation areas and tourist destinations alike. Since the 15th century the Swedish monarch has owned or held the right of disposition of Royal Djurgården. 

Kungsträdgården (literally, the King’s Garden ) is located in the Norrmalm district, near the city center. Together with Humlegården, it is Stockholm’s oldest surviving park.

Due to its central location and numerous outdoor cafes, it is one of the most popular meeting places in Stockholm. In the summer months, it often hosts outdoor concerts and events, and in the winter months, its hosts a frozen ice rink. 

The perfect place to enjoy a drink or ice cream in the sun on your tour in Stockholm.

Södermalm (often shortened to Söder , “South”) is one of the capital’s boroughs and islands. This is where you find Slussen, a hub for public transportation.

A large number of buildings and residential areas have been preserved in Södermalm, which, according to the Stockholm City Museum, are particularly valuable and belong to the top blue category of the cultural-historical classification. 

You will find the best second hand stores and Mediterranean food on Hornsgatan, located close to slussen.

Gamla Stan (the Old Town)  dates back to the 13th century, and consists of medieval alleyways, cobbled streets, and archaic architecture. Gamla Stan is home to the Stockholm Stock Exchange Building, the Stockholm Cathedral, the Nobel Museum, and Kungliga slottet, (Sweden’s baroque Royal Palace), built in the 18th century. 

The restaurant Den gyldene freden, est 1722, is one of the oldest restaurants in the world, and according to Guinness Book of Records the longest operated restaurant with an unchanged environment.

The Fjäderholmarna (English: Feather Islands) are a group of small islands in the Stockholm archipelago close to downtown Stockholm.

The big island can be reached by regular boat services from various locations in central Stockholm, with a voyage duration of about 20 minutes. The island is home to a number of craft workshops and stores, as well as several restaurants and cafes.

Rosendals Trädgård is a garden situated on Djurgården, west of Rosendal Palace.  It is the perfect place to experience nature. The garden demonstrate different cultural effects on gardening through history, with purpose to practise biodynamic agriculture and pedagogical education.

The rose garden was founded in 1988 and over 100 different species are cultivated today. The wine production follows Rosendals biodynamic ideals,  and the wine that is produced is called biodynamic wine.
